Description
Falcon 25-V Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device
The Falcon 25V-EO 3 710 is a heavy-duty, wide-stile surface vertical rod panic device for commercial doors requiring two-point latching and exit-only operation. The 3-ft. device is sized for a 36-in. door and is supplied in Falcon finish 710, also identified as 313AN dark bronze anodized aluminum.
What This Configuration Means
- 25V: 25 Series wide-stile surface vertical rod exit device.
- EO: Exit-only function with no exterior operating trim.
- 3: 3-ft. device for a 36-in. door.
- 710: Dark bronze anodized aluminum finish.
Features and Benefits
- Extruded aluminum construction and a stainless-steel pushpad cover withstand repeated commercial use.
- Flush end caps and concealed fasteners create a clean installation and help protect the device from impact.
- Field-reversible handing supports compatible left- or right-hand openings.
- Top 3/4-in. stainless-steel latchbolt includes deadlocking and latch-retention features.
- Bottom 1/2-in. bolt provides the second latching point.
- Standard hex-key dogging can hold the pushpad retracted during permitted business hours.
- One trim-input design permits future use of compatible Falcon trim when the complete opening is properly configured.
Door and Strike Requirements
The standard 25-V package uses a surface-applied 3788 top strike and a 2130 bottom strike mortised into the floor. Standard rods are furnished for a 7-ft. door based on a 40-1/4-in. device centerline above the finished floor. Verify the actual door height, door width, stile width, floor condition, handing, frame, and strike locations before drilling.
